How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost? Defining CoolSculpting Prices

People search the internet asking how much does CoolSculpting cost? It is a valid question since fat freezing is the #1 noninvasive fat reduction treatment in the world.  Yet, the overall cost of CoolSculpting treatments vary per patient, depending upon their specific treatment plan. Read on to learn what determines CoolSculpting prices and how to save money on your fat reduction treatments

The CoolSculpting Treatment

To understand CoolSculpting prices, it is essential to comprehend how the fat freezing process works. To start, the Altman Aesthetic Center in Purchase, NY, will place a single CoolSculpting applicator over a stubborn bulge. This applicator then draws subcutaneous fat cells to the surface and freezes them to death, employing controlled cooling. Depending on the size of the applicator, this procedure takes between 30 to 90 minutes to complete. One cooling session, using a single applicator, constitutes a cycle.

How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost?

CoolSculpting prices include the number of cooling cycles and the type of applicator used during that cooling session. Mirrored treatments, such as love handles, require two applicators—one per flank. This results in two cycles.

The Shape and Size of the Applicator

CoolSculpting applicators come in various shapes and sizes, each designed to contour specific areas of the body. This provides a lot of versatility in the fat freezing process. The number and size of applicators used to treat particular areas depending on the patient’s body size and type. For freezing belly fat, one patient may require the use of two small applicators. Another individual may need one large applicator. Combining one large and one small applicator offers an additional treatment option.  During your complimentary consultation, your CoolSculpting provider will professionally assess your body size and type.

The sizes of applicators vary per price. A large applicator covers double the treatment area of a small applicator. Thus, one large applicator will cost double that of a single cycle with a small applicator.

Specialty applicators add another dimension to CoolSculpting. They target specific areas of the body.   For example, the CoolMini treats the submental region and is excellent in tacking neck fat and double chins. Since a CoolMini is a specialty applicator cost of a single cycle differs from other applicators.

What is Cold Sculpting?

Cold Sculpting refers to freezing away unwanted fat and sculpting attractive contours using the CoolSculpting treatment. Cold Sculpting utilizes precisely controlled cooling to target underlying fat cells. When exposed to freezing temperatures, fat cells crystallize, causing the cell’s membrane to rupture. Once ruptured, the fat cell can no longer store fat. The destroyed cells are collected by the lymphatic system and eventually processed out of the body in the form of waste. This fat reduction process is known as cryolipolysis (“cryo” means cold-induced, “lipo” refers to fat cells, and “lysis” implies cell death and removal.)

What Areas Can Be Cold Sculpted?

Coolsculpting can target nearly any stubborn fat deposit located on your body. Popular treatment areas to Cold  Sculpt include:

  • The abdomen (belly fat)
  • The flanks (love handles or hips)
  • The submental region (neck fat and double chins)
  • The upper arms
  • The thighs (inner thigh fat and outer thigh fat, commonly known as saddlebags)
  • Below the buttocks (commonly known as banana rolls)
  • The back
  • The armpit region (bra bulge)
  • And more…

Why is Cold Sculpting So Popular?

CoolSculpting is the leading non-invasive fat reduction treatment in the world. The main reason people love to Cold Sculpt is simply that it works. Scientific studies have consistently shown the efficacy and safety of this fat freezing treatment. Moreover, CoolSculpting is non-invasive. Unlike liposuction, which requires surgery, stitches, general anesthesia, and lengthy recovery times, cool Sculpting is painless, requires no invasive procedures, takes 35 minutes to complete, and allows patients to resume their normal activities immediately after treatment. This makes CoolSculpting the ideal non-surgical alternative to liposuction.

Cold Sculpt Results

Cold sculpting yields results, as can be seen in before and after images. Results, however, are not immediate. The fat-freezing procedure requires 8 to 12 weeks for the lymphatic system to clear the destroyed fat cells from the body. Yet, once removed from the body, those fat cells are gone for good. This leads to long-lasting results.

The COVID 19 outbreak is changing our day to day living. This can be quite stressful. And if you are like most of us, when you are stuck at home, isolated with your family, and stressed out, you eat. You eat a lot. Mindlessly eat. Stress-eat. Boredom-eat. All kinds of eating.

Many individuals have voiced concern about gaining weight while sheltering in place. Fortunately, there are solutions for tackling stubborn bulges.

First and foremost, to lose weight, diet, and exercise. “But for many of us, diet and exercise are not always enough,” explains Liviu B. Saimovici, MD of the Altman Aesthetic Center. Stubborn bulges cling to our bodies despite our best efforts. For these tenacious fat deposits, your best option may be a fat reduction treatment.

Fat reduction treatments can be both invasive (like liposuction) or non-invasive. CoolSculpting is the world’s most popular way to reduce fat without surgery. “The advanced fat freezing procedure eliminates stubborn fat cells using Cryolipolysis,” explains Dr. Saimovici. Referring to cold-induced fat cell destruction, Cryolipolysis freezes stubborn fat cells to death. The frozen fat cells rupture, losing their ability to store fat. Rendered useless to the body, the destroyed fat cells are collected and excreted as waste. Once fat cells exit the body, they do not come back. Nor are they replaced. This leads to a long-term reduction of fat at the treatment spot.

You may be tempted while sheltering in place, but do not attempt any of the DIY CoolSculpting methods that are available on the internet. CoolSculpting at home doesn’t work. Plus, it’s dangerous. “Placing icepacks on your belly fat will not reduce the bulge. It takes the precisely controlled cooling and suction mechanism (to draw fat cells to the surface of the skin) available with the CoolSculpting machine to safely and effectively freeze your fat,” says Dr. Saimovici.

Before anyone receives a CoolSculpting treatment, they must be deemed a good candidate during a pre-treatment consultation. This in-person assessment may be impossible for many of us, especially as medical spas around the country are shuttering their doors in compliance with current quarantine regulations, or out of an abundance of caution.

Fortunately, Altman Aesthetic Center, the leading provider of CoolSculpting in Purchase, NY, is offering FREE virtual consultations. These consultations are conducted online with Dr. Saimovici or one of our body contouring specialists. During your virtual meeting, you’ll learn more about the procedure, like CoolSculpting cost, get answers to all your questions, and learn if fat freezing is the ideal procedure for you.

Get started on your journey to a slimmer, more confident you and banish the bulge you gained during the COVID outbreak, by contacting Altman Aesthetic Center online. Fill out the form below, and we will contact you shortly to schedule your FREE virtual consultation.

Cool Sculpting Before and After | Fat Freezing Results

Cool Sculpting before and after pictures demonstrate why so many people are raving about this fat freezing procedure. The body contouring treatment is the most popular way to reduce fat without surgery and little to no downtime. And for a good reason. Check out these before and after pictures to see real patient results and find out if Cool Sculpting is right for you.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is the most popular non-invasive fat reducing procedure using cooling technology. Cryolipolysis, the genius science behind successful CoolSculpting sessions, uses extreme cooling to “freeze fat cells.” While the cooling temperatures do not actually “freeze” the fat, it does crystallize the cell, causing the cell membrane to become brittle and hard. The membrane eventually ruptures, disabling the cell.

During a cooling session, your technician places a proprietary applicator on the skin of the treatment area. The patients will experience a tugging sensation when the machine activates as the skin is gently pulled into the applicator. Patients will also feel an intense cold feeling as the skin is exposed to the calibrated Cryolipolysis cooling.

Afterward, the body initiates a natural immune response that gathers the dead fat cells. The lymphatic system processes them out of the body as waste. Once gone, the fat cells can never return to the body. So many people rave about CoolSculpting because it provides natural, long-lasting results as long as the patient does not gain a considerable amount of weight. Gaining weight will obscure any CoolSculpting results.

Cool Sculpting Treatment Areas

Besides the effectiveness of freezing fat, Cool Sculpting before and after pictures demonstrate how versatile this body contouring treatment is. With the full line of Cool Sculpting applicators, Altman Aesthetic Center, the leading Cool Sculpting provider in Purchase, NY, can target nearly any stubborn bulge from head to toe.

Popular treatment areas include

  • CoolSculpting belly fat

  • CoolSculpting thigh fat
  • CoolSculpting upper arm fat
  • CoolSculpting chin and below the jawline fat
  • CoolSculpting back fat
  • Coolsculpting bra fat (also known as bra bulge)

CoolSculpting Cost

CoolSculpting cost is a valid concern for anyone considering this cosmetic procedure. The truth is that cost per cooling session varies. The prices depend on the unique needs of each patient. Factors that influence the price include the number of treatments in the patient plan, the number of treatment areas selected, the size and shape of applicators needed, and any patient specials that can be applied to your total cost. The best way to determine your CoolSculpting cost is to schedule a free consultation with a reputable provider to learn more.

CoolSculpting Before and After Pictures*

Freezing fat can reduce stubborn bulges that resist diet and exercise. This is evident in Cool Sculpting before and after pictures. As with any cosmetic procedure, results may vary. * The most effective route for ensuring optimal outcomes, like the ones in these before and after pics, is to:

  1. Determine if the fat freezing procedure is right for you
  2. Choose a provider who is skilled and experienced at performing this technique sensitive process.

Ready for your CoolSculpting Before and After Transformation?

Am I the right candidate? When people see Cool Sculpting before and after pictures, the next thing they ask is if they qualify for the fat reduction procedure. It’s a great question. Not everyone is suited for Cool Sculpting. An ideal candidate is a healthy man or woman who struggles with stubborn fat deposits, despite living a healthy and active lifestyle. To get optimal results, ensure that Coolsculpting is right for you by scheduling a free consultation with the Altman Aesthetic Center.

Finding the best provider. Discerning patients living in Purchase, NY, choose Altman Aesthetic Center for one main reason: Dr. Liviu B. Saimovici, MD. All Cool Sculpting treatments from Altman Aesthetic Center are performed by, or under the direct supervision of Dr. Saimovici. This is critical to ensuring patients receive the best results for their investment.

Choosing a good provider is critical to your experience during your procedure and your aesthetic outcome. Not all CoolSculpting providers are created equal. Choosing a provider with a medical background ensures you receive treatment from a well-trained and highly experienced professional. This is essential. Cool Sculpting is a technique sensitive procedure. Unfortunately, many providers lack experience or medical training. When performed by a fat freezing professional, CoolSculpting results look natural and last. When the fat freezing procedure is performed by someone who lacks experience and expertise, results can vary, and the safety and well-being of the patient may be compromised.

January 23, 2020

Rested and “Rejuvenated” after a short holiday break, the staff and I are quickly realizing, it’s CoolSculpting season! Our January schedule is full of CoolSculpting consultations. The most obvious reason for the increased interest in CoolSculpting is New Year’s resolutions. Other consultations have come from newly engaged couples. We’ve learned that December is the most popular month to get engaged in the U.S.These brides-to-be (and grooms-to-be!) are thinking ahead to the biggest day in their lives and wanting to feel and look their best in their wedding attire.

When a patient calls us for the first time, they usually don’t know much about CoolSculpting, other than it is a nonsurgical fatloss treatment. These patients have many questions and some anxiety about what to expect. Our number one objective is to put their minds at ease. Being the owner and physician, I meet with every patient during their initial consultation. During this meeting, wediscuss fat loss goals and body areas they are most excited to transform. So, you’ve decided to reduce wrinkles — will you choose Botox® — or maybe Dysport® — or should you choose Xeomin®…?

Did you know that Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are three different brand names for injectable neuromodulators?

Neuromodulators work by temporarily paralyzing a targeted muscle area on the face to ease the appearance of wrinkles.

Although all three of these brands work to reduce wrinkles, they are not the same. The biggest difference between Xeomin and the others is that Xeomin contains only one ingredient: botulinum toxin A. It is referred to as a “naked injectable.”

An advantage of containing only one ingredient is that the proteins that may trigger a negative response by the immune system are removed, which may lead to fewer side effects. Xeomin is also the only one that does not need to be refrigerated during distribution.

Here at Altman Aesthetic Center, we offer all three of these FDA approved brands. I have had great success with all three, but I am noticing that patients are gaining interest in Xeomin because it is the most pure of the three. It is also a good option for those patients who have stopped responding to Dysport and Botox.

Summer is upon us and many of us are focused on doing what is right for our bodies. We’ve started exercising, eating less and some of us have even opted for a truSculpt® iD body contouring procedure, for even more of a jump-start on our swimsuit-worthy bodies!

But what about our faces? Is your skin care routine summer-ready? This question has come up in our office several times in the past few weeks, with patients calling in to schedule our very popular IPL facial.

IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light, is a type of “laser” therapy used to treat wrinkles, spots, sun damage and other skin conditions. As wonderful and effective as it is, it is not a treatment to have during the summer months. Patients are advised to avoid prolonged sun exposure after having an IPL treatment for 4-6 weeks.

Summer skin care for your face

Fortunately, there are alternative, effective treatments that you can have right now.

One such treatment is a secret… actually the Secret RF, a micro-needling procedure that delivers energy below the surface to help revitalize and regenerate the skin. Patients looking to treat fine lines, wrinkles, photo-damage and/or scars are loving this procedure. There is little or no downtime, redness for the rest of the day being the most common, and in 1-2  treatments, you will notice your skin looking younger, smoother and more even.

Another year-round skincare treatment option we offer is Laser Genesis, a non-invasive laser technology to safely, naturally and effectively treat fine wrinkles, redness and acne scars. Over the course of 4-6 treatments, Laser Genesis can help restore the skin’s youthful glow and appearance.

As you can see, there are many treatment options for attainable healthy-looking, summer skin. In addition to whatever treatment you decide, remember to take care of your skin on a daily basis. Be sure to apply sunscreen everyday before going outdoors!

Happy Summer!

The reality of hair loss is that, for many, it’s out of their control, a genetic predisposition about which they can do little. However, those who have the baldness gene can make their hair fuller and healthier, and they can slow the rate of hair loss. Typically, it takes a combined effort, including steps you can take yourself as well as medical treatment. There are even some exciting new applications that show promise in the battle against baldness.

Today, let’s look at the options you have to combat hair loss:

Hair loss and nutrition

There’s no super food you can add to your game plan that will bring back lost hair, though if you’re living on fast food, you may accelerate thinning and lost hair. A well-balanced diet with a good range of essential nutrients is as necessary for hair maintenance as it is for any other system in your body. B vitamin deficiencies, in particular, can lead to poor hair growth, since these are essential for the development of new hair cells. A diet full of leafy greens, such as spinach, kale, and romaine lettuce, and lean proteins, including eggs, chicken, fish, and pork, will assure you have the B vitamin building blocks your hair needs.

The Food and Drug Administration has so far approved only two drugs to treat hair loss. Minoxidil, which is also used to treat high blood pressure, helps to slow the rate of hair loss. It can form some new hair growth, but this is typically thin and weak, as well as being limited to the crown. It’s unlikely you’ll see new growth at your hairline. Finasteride, originally developed to prevent prostate cancer, blocks production of a hormone that kills off hair follicles, causing male pattern baldness. Some men experience reduced sexual desire and impotence as a side effect of finasteride, however. Shampoos containing Nioxin show little promise in slowing hair loss.

Hair transplantation

Perhaps the best traditional method for hair replacement, transplants relocate healthy hair on your body to thinning and bald spots. Though a fairly reliable method of re-growing hair, transplants are expensive and time-consuming and require up to two weeks to recover. Some methods can leave substantial scarring, which could show through shorter hairstyles.

New rejuvenating technologies

Laser stimulation of the scalp is non-surgical, painless treatment with little in the way of side effects. The principle behind laser treatment of hair loss is that improving blood flow to the scalp helps supply oxygen and nutrients to slow the rate of hair growth, as well as thickening existing hair. On their own, laser treatments won’t start overwhelming new hair growth, but in combination with hair restoration therapy, results often show greater promise.

Blood thrombocytes therapy takes a sample of your own blood and then uses a centrifuge to concentrate platelets, which contain growth factor hormones. These hormones signal to naturally occurring stem cells to start regenerative growth. When injected into areas of hair loss, the blood cells therapy provides additional resources for new hair growth that’s encouraged by laser stimulation. Although results vary depending on the extent and aggressiveness of your hair loss, the combination of laser and blood thrombocytes treatments is the next wave in hair loss therapy.

At the Altman Aesthetic Center, we use the Theradome™ laser phototherapy system in combination with blood thrombocytes injections for our patients wishing to improve the quality and quantity of their own hair.

For many people unfamiliar with the injectables, the line between Botox and Fillers can become a bit blurry. However, when choosing which procedure may be best for you, it is important to understand more about each of them and also how they differ.

What is Botox?

Botox is Botulinum toxin, a protein that can temporarily relax the muscles in your face and reduce or eliminate lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat various medical conditions like excessive sweating and migraines.

Getting Botox injections is a safe procedure that has been around for decades. After a treatment session, there is not really any downtime. The immediate area around the injection site may be a bit tender, bruised, or swollen for a short period of time. However, the bruising is not so severe that you can’t cover it up with a little makeup.

Who Should and Shouldn’t Get Botox Treatments?

Botox is a treatment that is excellent for people that want to rejuvenate the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is especially effective for eliminating frown lines, crow’s feet, and glabellar lines

It is shouldn’t be used by people with certain medical conditions like nerve damage. Treatments are also not advised for women that are pregnant or breastfeeding.

What are Fillers?

Dermal fillers, usually shortened to simply fillers, are gel-like hyaluronic acid that is injected into the soft tissue of the face. These fillers help to reduce the appearance of fine lines. There are other types of fillers, such as lip fillers, that actually add volume to the lips.

Getting injections of dermal fillers such as Juvederm, take about 30 minutes, but the results last for a year or more. The filler injections cause similar side effects to Botox injections such as swelling, bruising, and slight tenderness. Again, the bruising can be covered with makeup.

Who Should and Shouldn’t Get Filler Treatments?

Fillers can help eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, similar to Botox. However, it is also a good choice for people that have lost volume in their face, such as marathon runners. The fillers can give a more youthful appearance in this instance.

As with any procedure or treatment, people should consult with their physician before having filler injections. However, there are no particular contraindications to the treatment. There isn’t any known risk to those that are pregnant or breastfeeding either.

In Conclusion

Both Botox and dermal fillers can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. If you are considering one of these treatments, it is best to discuss the particular results you want to achieve with your plastic surgeon to decide which option is best for you.

In the past, when a person was suffering from drooping cheeks or jowls, the only way to deal with the problem was a face-lift. There were other treatment options that had a minimal effect such as skin resurfacing or injections. Yet, they could never achieve the same level of change as the scalpel. However, not everyone is ready, willing, or able to undergo a surgical procedure. Now, they don’t have to!

Non-Surgical Face-Lifts

Thread Lifts Fill the Gap

The gap between a noninvasive procedure and a surgical procedure has finally been bridged with the introduction of thread lifts such as NovaThread. This procedure uses temporary sutures to lift the skin and tighten it. The process also causes the body to produce extra collagen in order to heal the areas that have been treated. This response of amping up the collagen production also helps firm the face and reduce some of the signs of aging.

The Advantages of a Thread Lift

One of the biggest advantages of choosing a thread lift over a more traditional face-lift is the downtime. The healing process from a face-lift can require extra help and care for several days post procedure, and there is usually a substantial time off of work and other activities required. Plus, there is the fact that a face-lift requires heavy sedation, and the patient is unable to drive themselves home after the procedure. It may be difficult to fit this extensive of a procedure into a person’s schedule due to the extended healing time needed.

On the other hand, the thread lift is not nearly as intensive because it is a lot less invasive. There will be several days worth of healing, but they do not require missing days and days of work or activities. The patient simply needs to be cautious about rubbing the face or sleeping on the face. There is also care that needs to be taken such as keeping the area clean and moisturized. The risks involved with a thread lift are much lower, and there is almost no risk of scarring after the procedure.

Is a Thread Lift Right for You?

As you can see, a thread lift is a lot less invasive than a traditional face-lift. Yet, it offers dramatic results not found with other less invasive procedures. Younger patients, in their late 30s to mid-50s, are the best candidates for a thread lift. If you are considering having a face-lift in the near future, it may be beneficial to speak to your plastic surgeon about thread lifts. It may be a good option for you!
